Hi Tim,

This is interesting.

Did they point you to any particular documentation? How was the AdWords "refusal" communicated?

Trying to figure what the primary problem is (according to the Google Gods). The copyrighted material, or verifying the permission?

The exact wording in Support communication can be both maddeningly vague and critical at the same time.

Our website www.obooko.com was refused Adwords because we 'distribute Copyrighted material'. We are actually one of the few sites in our arena that do this legally with author's or publisher's written permission to do so.

The rub is that there are numerous websites (many acting illegally: distributing without consent) that were approved by adwords. eg:
http://www.witguides.com
http://freepdfbookdownload.com
http://www.ebooks.pk

Why the discrimination? Any clues?

Hi Steve - "under review" doesn't mean that anything is wrong. If the account is new, or if there are questions about, for example, the AdWords alcohol policy, then you might be held pending determination of that. It's fairly normal for new or "edgy" advertisers skirting near editorial policy, to have delays of several days for review. It is possible to ask for expedited reviews, if you have an agency rep.

I have been "under review" for 4 days without any indication of what is wrong. Can someone please email me? I'm missing Christmas!
