Hi Kim,
I have tried modifying my ads many times. I can’t figure out what I’m
doing wrong. I think i’m following all the rules. But I still get a poor
quality score. I don’t want to give up. But it’s incredibly frustrating.
If I have to pay for help, I’m willing. I’ve read all the “rules” 100 times
Is there anything you can suggest?? My wife and I are lost.
Hi Pat and Dick,
Sorry to hear about your troubles. I also received your message through my own website where you mentioned that you are an affiliate advertiser.
While affiliate advertising has a very specific set of potential problems your poor quality score has me somewhat intrigued. Below are some things that every affiliate should first consider and some suggestions for improving quality score.
Affiliate advertising is very difficult to do successfully because of the high competition which results in high costs per click and a very low profit margin. This competition and pricing is what causes many affiliates to throw in the towel. The reason the competition is so fierce is Google has a policy that allows only one affiliate per parent domain per keyword. So only one clickbank affiliate can show for the keyword ‘IDOD”. So, many affiliates are fighting over one keyword. Google has this policy to protect users of google.com from being bombarded with ads that all lead to the same affiliate product. This often causes affiliates to go for more obscure keywords which can often be ranked poor due to relevance problems. Affiliates find that keywords that are truly relevant ‘IDOD’ get no activity.
Now, with all that being said people still make money as affiliate advertisers. If you have the budget it can be done. On your own with a learning curve or with the help of a professional you may be able to work your way up and work that quality score on the way up to make the account work for you until you start realizing profits from your products. As long as your profits are good then you can keep up with the expenses necessary to advertise. I would give things a shot and see if you can do some work to the account to get things going. Here are two articles that may help.
Generic vs. Specific Keywords

Improving Quality Score & CTR

If you can’t get things going yourself you may want to consider contacting someone that works with affiliates. Unfortunately none of us here at AWHE work with affiliate advertising. It would be a good idea to contact a professional that is experienced with affiliate advertising. I would suggest to contact http://www.markwelch.com/.
I wish you the best of luck with things.

Kim ‘MrsC’
Pat & Dick,
Seems I was mistaken about Mark Welsh working with affiliates. I will see if I can come up with another name for you and post here when I have the info.
Take Care,
Kim
Kim,
Thank you for your time and your input.
You’ve been very helpful!!
Kim, thanks for your assistance with my ad campaign. I changed the format of my ad a bit and my quality score went up significantly. Now I’m actually getting impressions on searches and not just the content network! Thanks!

Mike,
I am so happy to hear the account improved! Thank you so much for coming and sharing that great news with me. If you ever need help please let me know.
Take Care,
Kim
Good day,
Everytime I open a new google account and set up the entire campaign it runs for a few minutes or so, then i receive a message over the keywords stating that I have exceeded my budget. Please advise what i am doing wrong. this has happened over 5 times with 5 different websites.
If the accounts were new then it is probably a review. It can take 5-10 days in some cases for a review. The review can often be accomodated by a budget warning. I know it can be very misleading.
Please let us know how things go.
Kim
hello mam
i am yashdeep, and i am working in www .ring123pinless.com
and i have opened account in google adwards and everything is active but no impressions and no activity is going on from last 2 days
when i check detail it doesnot show ur ad is not active and my bid id 0.40c per click and in one day 50$ no adult ads nothing like that which google not accept still i cant get my ads on diffetent sites
Hi Yashdeep,
Sorry for the delay but your post was hung up in moderation. Hopefully by this time your ads are now running. I took a look at your website and things look good. You were most likely under review and by this time it should be complete. I would check the account quality scores and rank to see if you are getting enough exposure with your current bids and if not you may want to consider raising your bids for a bit until you get the desired rank and CTR then you can back the bids down.
If things are still not running or not running to your expectations pleaser a review of your account to troubleshoot for problems or area of improvement http://www.clinkswebservice.com/adwords-account-review.htm

Hi Kim,
I do not have an AdWords account, I’m just curious about how AdWords works. Is it true that to get your webpage to appear you have to pay more per word?
And what do people have to do to have more clicks?
I hope you can answer my questions,
manini
Manini,
AdWords is a Pay Per Click advertising platform. You select keywords or keyword phrases that describe your business (products or services) and offer a max bid for the keywords. Your account quality x the Max bid determines the rank (position) that your ads appear on Google. To maximize the amount of clicks for your daily budget there are many tricks such as position preference, ad scheduling, different networks and many other tricks one can try.
There are also other ways to advertise the website such as directories (free or paid) or organic search engine optimization (SEO).
Hope that helps.
I just want to seek help , my adwords google account is suspended and there message you cant reactivate, but I dont know why it happened? nothing i know, got no reply from google yet about the reason. My business depend on it and now I am like doomed, though I pay thousands dollars monthly to google.
Its quite sad that I failed to see any solution or help to solve this problem
need urgent help
Hello Kim
My adwords account was suspended due to the reselling of products that GOOGLE believe are ’steroids’ !! They are wrong but that is not the point. I am just extremely worried that GOOGLE tags’ negatively or decreases our organic results…is that possible ??
Thanks a lot
Jerome
